tuesday afternoon.

a cloud moves like a lone ship

above a barren tree

pearls hang like warm rain

from my lampshade

one chord played three times

sounds like his heartache

my windows need, dear washing.

oh summer.

oh summer, how i miss you already. 

many a splendor we shared

carrying me on top of hills

to sing with my child & kiss daisies

i hear many speak of the chill in the air

as though it's a marvelous thing

but oh summer, i miss you already.

(and if i travel far enough, i can find you once more)

too fast.

oh, these summer days are going too fast. 

i am trying to soak it in before that first grey shutter hits me.

induced by the impending. doom. of. loooooooooooooong mr. winter. 

a few things i need to photograph before he returns...

1) flowers 

2) horses

3) a swan

4) a feather field 

5) a sailboat

6) a flock of birds 

7) a rack of vintage dresses

etc. etc... of course & always.

gardens of "why nots"

my imagination is in full bloom.

i've never had a problem with not knowing "what to do"

& i have always been a "why not me (too)" kind of girl.

if i have a dream, i will give it a go. 

if it doesn't work out, then i just go pluck another one. 

it's good for the soul.

balancing being a mama & my love for writing & photography is fairly easy in the grand scheme of what a lot of moms have to balance (like 9-5 jobs & well, more than one child! -etc.) 

it's challenging, but in a good way. 

& i am so very happy that my Heart Drumming is on its way to me for me to proof read and once i am thru i will have it up for sale. 

very exciting. 

this isn't my first book, but it's my first art/photography book so there's definitely a new element of joy!

do not dwell on the past, remember it. 

do not fixate on the future, plan for it. 

we have today, live it!

hour glass.

things don't always turn out as planned. 

but i find that it is most always worth the wait

& i've learned to make sweet moments within the stretch of patience.
